MIDLAND CONCOURS 2004

KELMARSH HALL, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE

Kelmarsh Hall was built between 1728 & 1732 to a James Gibbs design for William Hanbury. On the 25th July, the grounds of this beautiful house was the setting for this years annual Midlands Centre Concours.

The Hanbury's remained in the house until 1865 when it sold to Richard Naylor, who was a keen sportsman then 1902 it was sold again to a G G Lancaster and later passed to his son C G Lancacaster who set about placing the hall and estate in a perpetual trust. Before this could be finalised he passed away and so all was left to his sister C V Lancaster. She pursued her Brothers wish and The Kelmarsh Trust was established in 1982. On Miss Lancaster's death in 1996 the whole estate passed to the trust. The Kelmarsh Trust today maintains it 3500-acre estate

An array of Healey's parked in front of the house adding an extra attraction for their visitors.
